Fracture Chocolate Package Design

This was for a school project where we were to create physical packaging for a product. I decided to make a chocolate bar, but the concept is a little different. This chocolate would be sold in broken or “fractured” pieces. I wanted to go for a more unconventional approach, thus the bright packaging and design.

Package Creation & Assembly

To make the box, I printed out a die line and made a simple prototype of the box before finalizing what’s shown above, as the final shape and size of the package. After finalizing the shape of the container I got to work designing on the die line in Adobe Illustrator. Once I completed the design (after peer revisions) I chose what material to print on. I decided to go for a heavy cardstock to assemble my box. Once printed, I carefully cut out the die line, folded, and pasted. The final product is shown above. This was the first time I had ever printed and crafted a design project, I found the process to be challenging but even more so rewarding.
